Anna Grant
Anna Grant RN, GradCert Nursing (Intensive Care), is a Clinical Nurse Consultant in the Trauma Service at Townsville University Hospital, where she is actively involved in the development of the trauma service and system. With a background working in the Intensive Care Unit and the Trauma Services in QLD at both a Metropolitan and Regional Tertiary Major Trauma centre, she has a unique understanding of the disparities of regional and metropolitan trauma. With experience in critical care, trauma, retrievals and surgical nursing, Anna is familiar with caring for patients throughout the entire trauma journey and draws on that experience to promote optimum outcomes for the seriously injured. Her current research interests are in evaluating trauma occurring across the vast North QLD region and identifying whether there are specific injury prevention initiatives that need to be tailored to this community. When not managing the seriously injured, you are most likely to find Anna on the sideline of a rugby field, cheering on her two sons, or on the beach at a surf carnival in the North QLD sun.
