Melanie Berube

Mélanie Bérubé is an associate professor at Université Laval, QuébecCity, Canada. She obtained a master's degree in nursing from Université de Montréal, a post-master's diploma as an acute care nurse practitioner from the University of Toronto, a doctorate in nursing from McGill University and did post-doctoral studies in epidemiology and biostatistics - trauma at Université Laval. She has worked as a clinician and manager in trauma and critical care for 20 years. She is a regular researcher at the Centre de recherche du CHU de Québec-Université Laval in the Trauma, Emergency and Intensive Care research unit. Her research interests include the prevention of chronic pain and long-term opioid use, the development of quality indicators for trauma care, and implementation science. Prof. Bérubé is also President of the Interdisciplinary Trauma Network of Canada of the Canadian Trauma Association.
